SPEED’s internship program prepares young Mozambicans for the job market

Since 2021, SPEED has hosted 12 interns (7 women and 5 men) as part of the project team, equipping them with on-the-job training and skills to manage projects, communicate effectively, and contribute to analyses and debates that influence national policies. By 2025, SPEED expects to host a total of 25 interns across different portfolios. Boaventura Tembe, 24, is an intern with the Finance and Administration team at SPEED and shared his feedback on the program. “During my time at SPEED I have been able to apply all the different skills related to accounting and auditing that I have learned at university, in practice. Now, I feel well-prepared for the job market."

He completed his 6-month internship with SPEED’s Agriculture Policy team in 2022, and just secured a Chevening Scholarship to pursue a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security in 2023!

With funding from USAID Mozambique through the SPEED Project, Licínio de Azevedo, Gabriel Mondlane and Jorge Ferrão premiered yesterday (13) a new mini series entitled "A NATUREZA DOS HOMENS E DOS ANIMAIS". The fictional series of six episodes of twenty minutes each, exalts the importance of preserving conservation in Mozambique.

Empresários enaltecem o Fundo de Resiliência financiado pela USAID

Manuel Gabriel, é jovem produtor de frangos na Província de Cabo Delgado. Neste momento, Manuel possui dois aviários, uma na cidade de Pemba outra em Montepuez. A sua capacidade de produção é de 2 mil ovos por ciclo, longe das 8 mil poedeiras de que é capaz de produzir, mas que há muito não consegue devido a limitação do financiamento não obstante a crise causada pelo ciclone Kenedy e posteriormente a pandemia da Covid-19.

Law of laws: a transparent framework to produce laws in Mozambique

Youths learn about crimes against biodiversity

“Trees are important for the survival of the human species.
