Increasing workforce participation by Women in the Energy sector
Approximately 3,500 EDM employees, only around 17 percent are women. Out of these 17 percent, most of the women occupy non-technical positions in administration and finance and only one out of 6 members on the EDM executive board is a woman. In 2018, @USAIDMozambique1 through SPEED Project supported the EDM to elaborate its Gender Audit that culminated in the development and launch of the Gender Strategy aimed to increase workforce participation by women in the energy sector by 2030.
