Economic Study on Ivory and Rhinoceros

Mozambique has a significant elephant hunt, while the rhinoceros population has already been exterminated in the country. Mozambique is also a route to illegal trafficking of ivory and rhinoceros horn. As a result of increased surveillance by the authorities, several tonnes of ivory and rhinoceros horn were seized and stored. The Government of the Republic of Mozambique (GRM) now needs to make an informed decision on what to do with stocks (destruction, marketing, storage, etc.).
